When living in New York City, it's best to put on your best sparklies, glam it up, and bring the city to its knees. New to the scene but definitely not shy, Joey Kipp is budding boy-lesque performer/choreographer extraordinaire. When he's not up on stage shaking his moneymaker (catch him Friday night at Think.Coffee), or dreaming up silly but stirring routines, Kipp's spreading the love for his birthplace of Brazil.
Flight attendants have long proved a point of fascination, especially when they're disrobing in a cockpit midflight while on duty. Or, when they're scantily clad on-air personas getting into catfights over shared lovers and extramarital affairs. So when I first learned of photographer Brian Finke's tome Flight Attendants (out on DUMBO's own Powerhouse Books), I'll admit my interest was piqued. While Finke's photos of flight attendants may seem banal, I figured there was still a possibility that his in-air experiences would offer at least a few scandal-ridden stories. After winning a nationwide search for the role of the new Maytag Repairman in early 2007, Clay Jackson donned the royal-blue suit and hat and has trekked across the country repairing just about everything. When he's not handing out washer/dryers to an audience full of expectant mothers on Ellen or donating machines to homeless shelters in Baltimore, Jackson dreams of his hometown.
He may put the "Mack" in MACK Industries, a cutting-edge Soho marketing and branding agency, but president and creative director Willie Mack has more going on than just his memorable name. (Not to be confused with the eponymous country singer, mind you.) When he's not working on campaigns for Absolut or rubbing elbows with Al Gore and Gisele Bundchen (unfortunately not at the same time), you can find Mack frequenting his favorite haunts in his favorite city.

So we spoke with Stuart Schuffman, a.k.a. Broke-Ass Stuart, who's spent a few years working for the masses, particularly the "young, broke, and beautiful", by consuming countless cheap drinks and meals and writing about them.
