Where to Watch Political Football in DC

Where%20to%20Watch%20the%20Political%20Football%20in%20DC.jpgBoston has the Red Sox, New York has the Giants, North Carolina has NASCAR, and DC has politics. 'Round here, accusations, overstatements, and flat-out lies are as satisfying as a good old-fashioned tackle. But no time of the year is more exciting than election season. This cycle, things have started much earlier. Debates, primaries, and caucuses have dominated the headlines every week, and much like last night's football game, we DC folks tend to relive the verbal bitch-slapping that went on the night before for days, weeks, months into the future. Here are a handful of bars and restaurants where you can catch the pre-season with the rest of Washington's politi-nerds. If we've missed a spot, let us know via the comments or tips.

National Press Club

Come watch the primaries and debates with DC's washed-up Fourth Estate. And don't worry about running into anyone important; any journalist stuck in Washington right now is clearly too low on the totem pole to be sent out on the campaign trail. [link]
