The Last of the Steamy Thai Flight Attendants

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

airhostesswarclip.jpgSad news today out of Thailand. Air Hostess War, the racy soap opera that featured flight attendant catfights and heated extramarital affairs, has been censored in response to complaints that were brought to the Thai Culture Ministry. The controversy was sparked by trade unions representing airline crews who felt the show portrayed their profession in an unfavorable light. Air Hostess War won't be canceled, but it's going to be rendered so much less awesome. After the jump, the new scheme, plus a clip of the sadly departing hotness.

In response to the controversy, the producers behind the series say, "There won't be any more catfight scenes between flight attendants while they are on duty or in uniform in public ... we will make our skirts longer." Tragic. This trailer shows Air Hostess War in all its former glory:

The clip has all the standard soap hotness -- bitchslapping, gunplay, and man-crying -- but it also reveals the special touches that made this show so special, like skimpy uniforms and multiple instances of ladies being gratuitously soaked with water. A misunderstood masterpiece. More clips here.
