Even though it sounds like one of the more unlikely spots to hold such an event, the now snow-less Union Square plays host to the city's first ever pro-snowboarding competition. Union Square Street Sessions will take place at 3pm on February 8, and will feature over 24 men and 8 female boarders competing for the $30,000 purse. [NYC Agenda]
