Recently in the Netherlands, 104-year-old performer, Johannes Heesters, gave his first concert in over four decades. Protestors and security were a-plenty, as Heesters' return to the stage was a controversial one. While the Amsterdam-born, German-bred performer claims to have never supported Nazi policy, both before and during the war, he "kept singing for the Nazi regime and he earned millions." Considering Heester's last attempt at a comeback in the early 1960s ended with his being booed off the stage in Amsterdam, this time around seems to have been significantly more successful. [BBC]
