All-You-Can-Eat SF

Bottomless%20San%20Francisco.jpgAll-you-can-eat specials are usually only offered in Vegas or suburbia. In cities like San Francisco, the restaurants are wiser and the diners greedier -- a side effect of paying ridiculous rents and having constant munchies. Short of hitting the Daly City Sizzler or milking the Olive Garden's unlimited salad and bread sticks, what's a serious eater/cheap bastard/tapeworm-haver to do? Luckily, if you know where to look you can find some excellent restaurants with unlimited buffets, steaks, cocktails, and tempura right under your nose. So go forth and binge, purge, and binge some more. (photo)

Sushi Hunter

1701 Powell St
San Francisco, CA 94133

Eating bargain sushi can be a risky endeavor, but you can check those worries at the door at Sushi Hunter. Their popular all-you-can-eat feast of appetizers, tempura, nigiri, and rolls is a not-suspiciously-cheap $23. If you're looking for high-quality sushi, go to Ino Sushi. But if you're just really frickin hungry, this spot is your best bet. [link]

Oakland Athletics

7000 Coliseum Way
Oakland, CA 94621

The geniuses at the Oakland A's have realized that ballpark food is the most consistently enjoyable part of going to a game. Accordingly, they've added an All-You-Can-Eat seating option. For $20-$35 you get a ticket and unlimited amounts of hot dogs, popcorn, and peanuts. Bellyaches are guaranteed. [link]

Goat Hill Pizza

300 Connecticut St
San Francisco, CA 94107

Goat Hill Pizza does Mondays a solid with their all-you-can-eat pizza extravaganza. One ten dollar bill (does anyone else find Hamilton's portrait oddly attractive?) covers pizza and the salad bar. It's called neighborhood night, but they're not checking IDs, so dig in. [link]

Tonga Room

950 Mason St
San Francisco, CA 94108

I have a soft spot for tacky. And happy hours. And little umbrellas. The Tonga room, San Francisco's premier tiki bar for tourists and indoor waterfall fetishists, has a fun weekday special from 5 to 7. For ten bucks you can eat all the random bar food you want at their happy hour buffet. It includes yummies like short ribs, cheese, spring rolls, fruit, guacamole, and chow mein. Their signature fancy drinks are discounted too, but considering how ridiculously overpriced they were to begin with, that's not saying much. (photo) [link]
