Return to the G-String Jungle
Back in October we published my first New York Strip Club Safari. There are far too many fine gentlemen's clubs in this city for just one post, so once again I braved the wilds of the city's nudie bar scene to bring you a list of even more strip clubs. This time I even found a place where women can go to ogle shaking booty. Since there is obviously such high demand in this fair city for drowning oneself in booze and silicone, this probably won't be our last strip joint roundup. I will not rest until I've chronicled each and every place in this town where people pay for proximity to naked bodies. What can I say? I love helping people. [Photo]
Larry Flynt's Hustler Club
641 W 51st St
New York, NY 10019
It's a lot like the man and his magazine -- as tacky and as smutty as possible. There's a business-casual dress code and a cigar lounge, making it perfect for corporate … honchos looking to spice up their power lunches with a little action. Interestingly, the defunct domain names of several shuttered city strip joints redirect to Larry's place. [link]
Legz Diamonds
121 W 54th St
New York, NY 10019
This Midtown cabaret is best known for its feature shows with big-name porn stars. They strive to foster an upscale nightclub atmosphere in their showroom, which includes … a "waterfall lounge" and large comfy chairs that are conducive to lap dancing. [link]
Penthouse Executive Club
603 W 45th St
New York, NY 10036
You wouldn't think that massive Peter Luger's-style gourmet porterhouse steaks would go well with lap dances, but Robert's steakhouse at the Penthouse executive club is … based on that very premise. Both Frank Bruni and noted food blogger cia_b have confirmed that the steaks here are the real deal, but since they're around $50 a pop and come accompanied by $20 drinks, you're probably better off buying your beef somewhere else if you're don't have to have a side order of boobs. Peyton's Play Pen
3901 2nd Ave
Brooklyn, NY 11232
Since grimy local favorite Sweet Cherry closed a while back, this is the last remaining strip club in what was once a thriving smut district near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The dancers are surprisingly attractive, but on the weekends there are usually far too few of them to satisfy the large crowds. Don't expect any "extra special treatment" … here without spending big money. [link]
Element/Hunk-o-Mania
225 E Houston St
New York, NY 10002
This downtown club, the former Goth hangout the Bank, is pretty much the only spot in the city for the ladies to enjoy a Chippendale-style strip show. They specialize in … bachelorette party packages. [link]
