Wednesday, December 31, 2008

warsaw%20art%20galleries.jpgIt's taken awhile, but after years of war and a debilitating uprising followed by decades of communist rule, Warsaw is back on its feet. The city is growing and changing so rapidly that returning visitors don't even recognize it. The art scene in particular is thriving, with a large number of galleries opening in the last ten years and countless emerging artists showing impressive works. After the jump, our list of the top art spaces for both new and returning visitors.

Housed in what was once a palatial residence before being sacked and destroyed by fire in World War II, the Centre for Contemporary Art is one Warsaw's larger art spaces.
