Good Eats in Venice
Canals, romance, gondolas, carnivale -- people tend to conjure up these ideas when they think of Venice. Notions like fresh pasta, hand pulled mozzarella, and robust wines are left to areas like Tuscany, Sicily, and Puglia. And it turns out that finding a decent meal in Venice can e challenging. As the streets fill with more and more tourists, and as the native population dwindles, restaurants have less of an incentive to offer genuinely good and affordable fare. A selection of such eateries after the jump.
