Ferran Adria's fabled elBulli is the toughest table on the planet, the destination restaurant to end all arguments. So, in 2005 and in the spirit of populism, Ferran and his brother Albert -- and it really is Albert's operation these days -- decided to open up Inopia on Tamarit Street in Barcelona. The tapas restaurant, which they call a "classic bar," is decidedly not elBulli: straight ahead preparations of basic Spanish dishes in a bright, totally casual space. We were lucky enough to have dinner there last week and, at the last minute, decided to snap some shots.
