Another Chicago item for you this morning, this time from a Kimpton Hotels press release announcing the brand's new "Surf's Up In Chicago" package. According to the release, the promotion was inspired by the recent lift on the lakefront surfing ban. What they're offering, aside from accommodations and some surf-inspired cocktails, is this: a $50 gift certificate to Windward Sports, Chicago’s first and only surf shop, complimentary "parking" for a surfboard at the hotel, and round-trip transportation to the nearest surfing beach.
