Adria Brothers Reveal Plans For New Project

Saying that "The cuisine of elBulli will never leave elBulli," celebrated avant-garde Spanish chef Ferran Adrià told Spanish channel TV3 that he and his brother Albert plan to open a new restaurant in Barcelona (name and date TBD). The intention is apparently a more low-key establishment — "a place to go with friends" — having little in common with Michelin 3-star elBulli, which Adrià announced in February is to go on a hiatus in 2012 and then reopen as a non-profit culinary research and training center in 2014. In other words, safe to say the place will be more like Inopia (which Gridskipper recently visited) than the Girona juggernaut.
