An Alitalia flight that made an emergency landing at Boston's Logan Airport last week was grounded as a result of onions. Four pallets of the vegetable in the cargo hold of the plane caused a disruption of a Milan flight bound for Miami. "Overcome by a foul odor," thanks to the cargo hold having been breached, the freaked-out crew called Logan and asked to make a safe emergency landing. The Times quotes the National Onion Association Web site as saying that the "crew was in danger only of inhaling high levels of dietary fiber, Vitamin C and anti-oxidants." (photo) [via]
