De Nieuwe Anita: Not Quite A Bar, Not Quite Somebody's Back Room

229115173_c4106b9a5f.jpgFrom Le Cool's Amsterdam mailer comes this enigmatic undersell of De Nieuwe Anita:

A hangout in the back of a house, where you want to go to do something different, something cult and very underground. Sounds lecool! So I went to their site. Nothing special, nothing hip. In fact very amateurish and quite boring. And no phone number for some extra info. But you just have to trust me on this gut feeling. Somehow I just know that this colleague of mine has got it right. That this crib is something unusual, something extraordinary.
We invite you too to go to their website "nothing special, nothing hip" and also to the actual place "something unusual, something extraordinary." Since we don't read Dutch, sadly the place is shrouded in mystery but fluency didn't seem to help poor LeCool writer Judith Zebeda so maybe it, like painful daddy issues, needs to be visited to be understood. From Flickr photos, it seems like the place is set up like a living room with live music, booze and strikingly attractive Dutch hipsters.
