Following The Bush Twins in BA

Thursday, November 30, 2006

barbbush.jpgThe whole damn world knows that the Presidential twin Barbara got her purse snatched while visiting a cafe with sis Jenna in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Telmo (not a good trip for the Secret Service; not only were they nearby when it happened, a Secret Service agent got beat by a BA mugger whle preparing for the trip). But what can you do--besides being mugged--if you want to feel like a Bush spawn in Buenos Aires? Happily, friend and fellow Buenos Aires journalist Joe Goldman fills in the blanks in an ABC News web story. Goldman tracks down the twins to Palermo Hollywood's most popular boutique hotel--Hotel Home--where he strikes up a conversation with Barbara completely unhindered by the Secret Service (where were those guys?), and then follows them to Jangada, recently written up in the NYT, where one can apparently buy a really big friggin' slab of fish called the pacĂș.
