Hilton Introduces Color-Coded Menu for Criminally Stupid

Friday, May 4, 2007

hiltoncolormenu_sm.jpgSometimes we wonder to ourselves: Maybe we're too angry. Maybe there are things out there that aren't worth getting annoyed. Then we read how Hilton Hotels is introducing color coded breakfast menus because their guests need help figuring out whether they're allowed to eat certain foods. Who the hell is this for? Are there Jews who'll accidentally eat bacon if it's shaded in fuschia on the menu? Are there diabetics too stupid to avoid adding extra sugar to their pancakes? And if there are diabetics like that, why are we preventing evolution from disposing of them as is right and proper? It's one thing to supply color photos for Chinese menus, however slim may be their relationship to the realities of food being served at any Chinese restaurant. We'll only accept color-coded menus if the shades used match those of the National Terror Alert. Risk of heartburn: Severe!
