World's Most Expensive Hotel?

EmiratesPalace.jpgWant a suite at the new Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi? Be prepared to cough up $15,365 per night, a price that includes unlimited access to a personal butler. For that kind scratch, said butler better offer something real special--I'll let your dirty minds conjure up exactly what services guests deserve for $768.25 per hour (assuming that checkout time's at 11 a.m., and check in's at 3 p.m.).

I can understand that the Emirates Palace's investors are desperate to recoup their $2.6 billion--yes, billion--investment in the hotel, and that some mighty wealthy folks swing through Abu Dhabi. But, jeebus, $15,365 a night? The mind boggles. And to think I grumbled earlier about the Casa Camper hotel in Barcelona, a relative steal at $250 per night (albeit sans handjob-providing butler).

Then again, maybe this isn't even the priciest out there. Anyone know of something more opulent? Let us know at tips@gridskipper.com.
