Down Bermondsey way is the Garrison, a pleasant apostle of the area's gentrification. The restaurant serves solid-seeming comfort grub with a few continental flourishes, plus a basic but appealing Sunday brunch. An extensive bar menu, wine list, and a few canapés makes the place a low-key nightlife choice as well.
