Dai Ho Kitchen's Noodle Nazi

Friday, April 27, 2007

dai%20ho%20kitchen%20los%20angeles.jpgThe Yelp review for Temple City's Dai Ho Kitchen describes the service as "not the friendliest." Which is like describing the Vietnam War as "kind of a bad call." Dai Ho is the domain of a curt, ex-Taiwanese military guy universally known as the Noodle Nazi. You tell him what kind of spicy noodles you want, and he gives you the spicy noodles he thinks you should have ordered. Under no circumstance should you ask for your noodles to be less spicy. If you do something that staggeringly stupid, the Noodle Nazi will scream at you and ban you from the restaurant forever. No kidding. In addition to the house speciality Chinese noodle soup, they also have a deli full pig intestines and sliced pork shank. Not particularly Kosher-friendly.
