Seven Grand Bar

Tuesday, April 17, 2007

seven%20grand%20bar%20los%20angeles.jpgCedd Moses, the nightlifer who created Los Angeles joints such as the Golden Gopher and Broadway Bar, has opened Seven Grand at the intersection of 7th Street and Grand Avenue. This bar is all bout the whiskey, with 125 flavors on the menu. Other speakeasy-type cocktails are available as well. The atmosphere is lodge kitsch, with relics from the jewelry store and taxidermy from the cafeteria that previously occupied the premises. Blogdowntown is happy to welcome the bar to the nabe, and the LA Downtown News talks with Moses about his new spot. No cover and "not the boring Hollywood crowd," he promises.
