Hobbit House Bar

Thursday, September 8, 2005

090805.14.JPGManila's Hobbit House predates both the Lord of the Rings movies and any twinges of offended decency you might feel once inside. Yep, the gimmick is that the place is tricked out like a fantasy tavern for hobbits, minus the glaring fiery demon eyes and creepy heroin-chic Gollums. But the owners and staff are indeed all "little people." So check your PC outrage at the door, because the place has actually been around long enough to gain a reputation as a great bar for live music. I'd close with a short joke if I didn't fear a savage knee-biting reprisal.
