Buying Art in Paris

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

buying-art-in-paris.jpgParis is home to the biggest museum in the world (the Louvre), and many people come here to look at art. But for those who like the idea of taking a work of art home as a souvenir, Paris is also host to many an art fair for browsing and buying. On the heels of the prestigious annual international art fair, FIAC, which ended yesterday, Paris' first Salon Art Shopping, billing itself as a salon de l'art accessible, or affordable art fair, is happening this weekend, with contemporary art going for €5,000 or less. Here's more on that, plus some upcoming Paris art fairs setting up around town in the next several weeks.
