Mi Casa Es Ducasse at the Jules Verne

Friday, January 19, 2007

Random%202.JPGLong considered one of la Grande Dame's of the Parisian restaurant scene, it seems the Jules Verne - that incontournable restaurant cradled within the steel skirt of the Eiffel Tower - has received a little New Year's boost with the appointment of Alain Ducasse to its kitchen. The super-starred chef took over on New Year's Day, promising the resto's interminably long wait list (currently standing at about three months for dinner bookings) will only stretch longer. Gridskipper would love to tell you that we have personally tested each and every one of the Verne's revamped gastronomique specialties but, unfortunately, there's no jumping the cue. Pauvre nous. Looks like we'll have to wait alongside the rest of you hungry plebs in order to get our first taste of Ducasse magic.
