Pic of the Day: Reverse Graffiti

Monday, January 29, 2007

reverse-grafitti.jpgWhen we wrote about reverse graffiti we only knew of one artist utilizing the technique wherein dirt is washed away to achieve an image. But my how quickly new forms are incorporated into street art. This shot comes from a tunnel in Sao Paulo where Brazilian graffiti artist Alexadre Orion washed away years of grime to make the skulltastic piece. Sadly, or perhaps happily, the only way the government could get rid of it was to clean the rest of the tunnel which it begrudgingly did.
