With a name like Tokyo Fun Party, you gotta figure that you're in for a good time, and that's just what Takashi Otagiri — he also DJs under the name SoccerBoy — has been doing for a few years now with his series of events. Going one step further, he's just launched a music label component to TFP, with their first two releases, Digiki's Beat Vacation and Chimidoro's Minna no Uta, now available online and off. The celebrations continue this coming Sunday (April 29) with an all-night bash at Hijouguchi in Shinjuku. When next in town, try to make it to one of TFP's monthly "Juliana" parties, which usually happen on the third or fourth Sunday of the month at Soft in Shibuya (there was one this past weekend). These are always great and should give you a good taste of what Tokyo small-club events are all about.
