Nude of the Art of the Nude

Thursday, July 28, 2005

072805.12.jpgHere's a bad idea which doesn't even require your bad idea jeans: nude art viewing at the Leopold Museum in Vienna. Yes, the art is nude, and so are the viewers. What could be more enticing than a crowd of nekkid Austrian art fans? The exhibit, "The Naked Truth: Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka and other scandals," highlights quite a few fleshy paintings, so in addition to setting aside body image issues or aversions to inappropriately verdant pubic hair, museumgoers had best watch out for inadvertent tumescence. And who knows what those pervs will be listening to on their audioguides. Nude viewing day is July 28 only, though the exhibit runs till August 22.
